Christian Nodal was born on 11 of January, 1999 in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico to Cristina and Jaime both of whom are musicians. They got started in music at the tender age of four; at the age of 13 he could also play piano and guitar.

He began dating his fellow Argentine rapper, singer, and songwriter Cazzu soon after that in a rather low-key affair. In the spring 2023, Cazzu announced that she is pregnant and in the beginning of September she gave birth to a daughter.

Christian was married to singer Angela Aguilar on July of 2024. Arguably, he is most famous for his multiple body tattoos on his face, chest, and arms as seen in Nodal’s work. They are; a cross, a flower, a money bag, a cactus and the moon.

Before that, Nodal had many tattoos related to his ex-girlfriend Belinda, for example, the View Controller’s eyes on the chest, and the word Beli near the right ear. Some of those tattoos were, however, removed by him after the break up with the lady in question.

Career

Nodal’s second studio album “Ahora” was released in 2019which reached the seventh position in Billboard’s top Latin album chart and the 19th position in the Top 100 México. The album would also produce the chart-topping hits including, “No Te Contaron Mal”, “Nada Nuevo”, and “De Los Besos Que Te Di”. Though, with the release of his debut EP “Ayayay!” in 2020.

A second album in the “Ayayay! Trilogy” was also later released this year, so as well as a deluxe version of the album. “Ayayay!” got Nodal his first Grammy Award nomination in the Best Regional Mexican Music Album category.

Nodal also released the single ‘Dime Cómo Quieres’ with Ángela Aguilar in 2020 which also went on to top Mexico’s Monitor Latino and ranked eight on the US Top Latin Songs chart. Later in the following year in the spring of 2021, Nodal came through with the song ‘Botella Tras Botella’ featuring Mexican rapper Gera MX.

In the case of ‘Lamento Bolillo,’ since it remained at number 60 of the Billboard Hot 100, it was the first time that a regional Mexican song entered the chart. Also, the song was Nodal’s most successful one at the Hot Latin Songs chart, as it reached the third position.
