Singer Debbie Harry was actually born as Angela Trimble in the year 1945 in Miami, Florida. She was adopted at the age of three months by Richard and Catherine Harry who owned a gift shop in New Jersey and changed her name to Deborah Harry.
She was born in California and brought up in Hawthorne New Jersey where she did her high school education at Hawthorne High School. She continued her studies and after graduation she attended the Centenary College in Hackettstown where she completed an Associate of Arts course in 1965.
Harry then relocated to New York City and for one year took a job at the secretary at the BBC Radio office. She also worked in other unrelated jobs as a waitress, a go-go dancer and as a Playboy Bunny.

Career
Harry embarked on a singing career under Tandyn Records a year later and his first album ‘KooKoo’ hit the markets in 1981, ‘KooKoo’ reached number 25 in the US, and number six in the UK, with Harry earning his first gold and silver records for this album.
The first promo track from the album was the song Backfired for which the music video was directed by the famous Swiss painter H. R. Giger, whose artwork of Harry’s disfigured face was used on the albums cover.
In 1982, Harry reunited with the members of Blondie for the recording of ‘The Hunter’, the album did not achieve the same level of success as the prior albums of the band. Apart from Blondie and her individual albums, Harry has featured in quite a number of films. She appeared in some art movies by Amos Poe and was unpaid in ‘Deadly Hero’ in 1975.
