Jimmy first made his riches with the help of Interscope Records which was especially popular during the 1990s and the 2000s with the help of rap musicians including Dr. Dre, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem.

He then made another wealth as the co-founder of Beats Electronics which was sold to the Apple for $3 billion in May 2014. What Amazon was never able to achieve, it received with the Apple deal. Jimmy Iovine was born at the 11th of March in the year 1953 in Brooklyn, New York to a hard-working Catholic-Italian family. He enrolled in John Jay College of Criminal Justice but dropped out at the age of 19 and got janitor’s job at New York’s Record Plant Studios.

By getting this job Jimmy got acquainted with the world music production. From here he progressed quickly from simply being one of the cleaners of the studios to assist with other basic production tasks. An engineer who trained Jimmy was Ray Cicala who worked for the company and had many clients and projects to his credit.

Career
