Tony Hinchcliffe is an American comedian and writer, who earns $6 million in his career. It should be noted that Tony Hinchcliffe has provided insult comedy. Outside of “Comedy Central Roast,” he also co-hosts the comedy podcast “Kill Tony” and had a “One Shot” stand-up special on Netflix on June 19, 2021.

During a comedy performance in which he directed racial slurs at fellow comedian Tony Baker, Hinchcliffe lost his agency and multiple appearances.

Early Life

Tony Hinchcliffe’s date of birth is June 8, 1984and was born in Youngstown, Ohio in United States of America to a single mother. He comes from a childhood growing up in a relatively gang-infested part of town, on the north side, and moving into insult comedy as a form of protection. Hinchcliffe has been attending Ursuline High School since his childhood and graduated it in 2002.

Controversy

Hinchcliffe in May of 2021, did a stand-up performance at Austin’s Vulcan Gas Company where he targeted racism and other abuses to Asian American comedian Peng Dang just before him. Also, he verbally attacked those who were laughing at Dang’s jokes just like what Preap had done to Chinn.

It was a racist rant video that he made which was posted on Twitter, and this was the major backlash that Hinchcliffe got. As a result, he was fired by his agency WME and kicked out of shows he was to have with Joe Rogan in Austin. Furthermore, Antone’s Nightclub stated that it has no longer wished to be associated with Hinchcliffe and his “Killy Tony” podcast.

Career

Hinchcliffe left for Los Angeles in 2007 with passion to endeavor his comedy career. He started doing stand-up acting at open mics of the Comedy Store. Hinchcliffe also worked the phones and the cover booth there, and working as often as he could at the venue.

He gained popularity at the Comedy Store over the years of bullying the other comics and occasional members of the audience, as well as for using the sarcasm in discussing topics that are usually best omitted.

Ross supported Hinchcliffe and helped him to start writing, for example, for the “Comedy Central Roast” television show. He also served as a writer for this show Comedy Central and performed as a comedian on the show “The Burn with Jeff Ross” he was also a contestant on the first season of “Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle”

In the podcast, Hinchcliffe together with his partner Brian Redban and a group of comedians and guest celebrities selects the best stand-up comedians from the auditions. At the same time, in 2016, Hinchcliffe made his first one-hour stand up show which was titled as “One Shot.”

Performed in a one continuous take which did not include many of the video’s memorable moments, it was released on Netflix. The next year, Hinchcliffe performed the role of the headliner for the Monster Energy Outbreak tour that took place in 20 cities within the United States. He came up with his second comedy special in 2020 which is known as making friends which he aired on YouTube.
