Christopher Walken is an actor as well as a director, singer and writer with net worth of $50 million. Even though the show started in the 60s, Christopher Walken has continued to act up to the date. Early Life

Walken was born on March 31, 1943, he was born in Astoria, Queens, New York and his birth name was Ronald Walken. His mother Rosalie Russell was born a Scotts and came to New Zealand from Glasgow – his father was Andrew Clark.

His father, Pual Walken, was born in Gelsen Kirchen, Germany and was into the business of Baker at Astoria Walken ‘s bakery. He was born in Methodist home with two brothers; Kenneth and Glenn. It is nevertheless perhaps because of her mother who had acted on stage and craved fame that she introduced her three sons to acting at a young age.

He joined several shows as an extra and then became a regular cast at the “Wonderful John Acton” at the age of ten years. He was however involved in other television appearances for the next few years and at the same time plunge deeper into the world of theater acting.

Sad version is he failed to complete at the university education since he joined Hofstra University after high school, dropping out after a year of year he accepted more lead theater performances. After the act was over, he wanted to change his name and because of this he was convinced by Monique van Vooren who was also dancing in the act to call himself Christopher because it sounded better.

The following year, in 1966, he got his first chance in Broadway and he depicted King Philip of France at the play “The Lion in the Winter”.

Another significant theatre role came into his way in the performance of Lysander in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 1968 and in the same year of the following year he got an opportunity to act as Romeo in “Romeo and Juliet” at the Stratford Festival in Canada.

In the year 1970, he worked for the first time off-Broadway with Charles Durning and Bonnie Bartlett in the “Lemon Sky. ” For this play, he got the Drama Desk Award for Obstacle Performance.
