Early Life
Michael Gregory Rowe was born on the 18th march in the year 1962 in Baltimore of Maryland. His both parents were school teachers, he was in Boy Scouts and received the Eagle scout in 1979. Mike Rowe being in high school then was also involved in theater performance.
He finished high school in 1980 and went to Essex Community College before he transferred to Towson University where he received a B.A. in Communication Studies. Rowe loves to use his talent for commercials and he appeared in numerous adverts for different brands.
Ford and Motorola were some of the common vehicles he worked on especially in the commercial part of his art. He was also an official advertiser for Caterpillar Inc., the global construction machinery company and the Novartis International pharmaceutical company.

Career
Mike Rowe who was born in 1962 began his television career as a host of various programs immediately after completion of his university studies in 1985. The most crucial early program on which he hosted was Your New Home which was on WJZ-TV and was a 15-year program. In the 1990s, he got a job being a host of a CD-ROM trivia game.
He then landed a job as a host of the home-shopping channel which he had no intention of taking seriously known as QVC. Sometime in the mid-90s Mike Rowe presenting an instructional program for a satellite television service.
These relatively minor jobs led to something better in 2001 he received two major hosting jobs that kept him busy. One was as the presenter for ‘The Most’ on the History channel and he remained as the presenter of this program until 2005.
The second one was more fruitful – a hosting job for KPIX-TV in San Diego which extended to a news program feature, ‘Somebody’s Gotta Do It,’ which became Dirty Jobs. He also hosted Worst-Case Scenarios in 2002 which on aired for 13 episodes only.
Besides the hosting jobs, viewers get to know Mike Rowe’s voice narration in a number of series, although they may not necessarily recognize it. Rowe has participated in shows such as American Chopper, American Hot Rod, Deadliest Catch How the Universe Works and many more.
Mike Rowe also has done a little of acting work which is but noteworthy. He has portrayed voices in the shows such as American Dad! That is the show in which he recently landed an acting job as the one in Last Man Standing.
