Kyle N. Aoki was born in the United States. He was one of the seven children born to Rocky Aoki. His mother’s identity has not been revealed yet. Kyle has six siblings, four sisters, Echo V., Jenifer, Kana, and Devon, and two brothers, Kevin Aoki and Steve Aoki, an American DJ and music producer.

He was also the founder of an American restaurant company Benihana Inc., established in New York City in 1964. It is based in Aventura Florida. Kyle’s ancestors were the descendants of a samurai clan from Wakayama prefecture, which served in the Kishu Doman.

His father was first interested in music and started a rock and roll band called Rowdy Sounds with some friends. Eventually, he left music for athletics. While attending Keio University, he competed in track and field, karate, and wrestling. He received several wrestling scholarships. He achieved victory in the U.S. flyweight wrestling championship for three consecutive years, in 1962, 1963, and 1964. He died on July 10, 2008, of pneumonia in New York City.

Kyle’s father was married three times and had seven children, including Kyle. He married his third wife, Keiko Aoki, a businesswoman, in 2002. In 1995, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
